Offerings
The introductory call is a 30-minute session designed to give you a chance to get to know me and the work I do. It’s an opportunity to explore how we might work together before making any financial commitment, and to ensure the approach feels right for you. Think of it as a relaxed conversation where we can connect, discuss your needs, and see if this is the right fit.
Three-Month Mentorship: Yoga Philosophy & Embodied Practice
This three-month mentorship provides a personalised space for deepening your yoga practice, exploring philosophical ideas, and understanding the mechanics of asana in a way that supports both body and mind.
What the Mentorship Offers
The mentorship is designed to guide participants through a progressive, personalised journey over three months. Sessions combine:
•Philosophical exploration: examining ancient teachings and their relevance to daily life
•Embodied practice: detailed breakdowns of asana mechanics, alignment, and functional movement
•Breathwork and meditation: cultivating awareness, balance, and emotional regulation
This longer format allows for gradual integration, reflection, and practical application of teachings. Participants will explore how to meet themselves with consistency and care — not to fix or force change, but to listen deeply and embody their learning.
Who the Mentorship Is For
This mentorship is suitable for:
•Practitioners at any level who wish to explore deeper aspects of yoga beyond the mat
•Teachers seeking to refine their understanding of alignment, adjustments, and embodied philosophy
•Anyone looking to develop emotional awareness and control in a safe, supportive space
•Individuals interested in integrating yoga into daily life in a conscious, sustainable way
Philosophy and Embodiment
Philosophy is woven throughout the mentorship to enhance mental and emotional wellbeing. Drawing from texts such as the Upanishads, Bhagavad Gita, and Yoga Sutras of Patanjali, participants are guided to embody teachings in practical, actionable ways. Combined with focused asana work, this approach nurtures harmony between mind, body, and breath.
Mentorship Structure
•Duration: 3 months
•Frequency: 1–2 sessions per week (75–90 minutes each, flexible depending on participant needs)
•Inclusions:
•Personalised pranayama and meditation recordings
•Snapshot videos highlighting alignment, mechanics, and areas for growth
•Guided philosophical reflections and discussion prompts
Background and Experience
Sarmarie brings over twenty years of experience in yoga and philosophy, having studied and practiced across multiple respected lineages, including Vedanta, Ashtanga, and Satyananda Hatha traditions. She has trained under renowned teachers worldwide and integrates alignment, breath, movement, and philosophical enquiry into a unique, grounded approach. This mentorship reflects her deep understanding of how philosophy and embodied practice can enhance daily life and movement intelligence.
Three live sessions.
Journey into the foundations of yoga, exploring how these principles can shape both practice and life.
Sthira Sukham Āsanam
The essence of posture beyond the physical form. Together we’ll explore steadiness and ease in āsana, the role of the mind in psychological health, and how the relationship with self is reflected through posture and life.
The Gunas
Sattva (clarity), Rajas (activity), and Tamas (inertia)
The three qualities that weave through all of life. This session unpacks how these forces move within us, shape perception, and influence both yoga practice and daily living.
We’ll be exploring the gunas as qualities that shape both our inner world and the way we move through daily life. By noticing how these qualities influence our psychological health and how we use our time, we can begin to see where small shifts may support a more balanced state and a clearer sense of alignment.
The Three Pillars
The pillars I continually return to in my own practice, forming a stable foundation for both yoga and life. We’ll explore their roots in philosophy and embodiment, and how they support becoming not only a dedicated yogi but also a grounded, good human being, whatever your path may be, whether as a teacher, doctor, or in your own unique calling.
3x Recording
After each of the three sessions, participants will receive a recording. This way there’s a backbone of understanding to return to, supporting ongoing reflection and integration beyond the live sessions.
Sessions are held one-on-one and usually run for around 75 to 90 minutes.

"Working with Sarmarie has opened up a space for real connection not just through movement, but through deep, nourishing conversations about self and spirit. I find myself looking forward to each session, not just for what we explore together, but for how it carries into my life. There’s something about the way I now walk through my day more grounded, more centered. I notice when I’m leaning forward too much, rushing in. I’m aware of it now. And because of that awareness, I have a choice. I can slow down. I can choose presence over reaction. Even in moments of rest, like Shavasana, I feel more connected to myself. This practice has taught me that taking care of myself might be the most purposeful thing I do."

"My journey with Sarmarie’s intensives began with a leap of faith a full surrender into trust. Her work goes far beyond the physical postures of yoga. While the practice may appear rooted in movement, it is woven with subtle, nuanced layers that can only be understood through lived experience. These are things you can’t learn from books or weekend trainings they must be embodied. I began working with Sarmarie about a year ago, joining my first intensive. It felt like I was gently peeling back the layers of myself in a way that was deeply digestible. Whether we were exploring the yamas and niyamas, the koshas, or the architecture of alignment, the way she delivered information was grounded, personal, and completely unique. Her insights come not only from years of experience but from her own lived challenges, this gives her work a rare depth and authenticity."

"“Over the course of six or seven months, I experienced a quiet but powerful transformation. The space we created together allowed me to lean more deeply into who I am especially as a woman and to gently explore the patterns and traits that shape my life. It became a place where I could soften into change rather than resist it. I began to open to qualities like receptivity and acceptance, and to let go of the need to judge myself or others so harshly. Sometimes, when we’re navigating transition, we just need someone steady beside us someone who listens, reflects, and helps us make sense of the shift. That’s what I found in these sessions: a space to grow into myself with clarity, care, and strength.”
